Areas of work
The specialist areas where we have experience of working
Maternity & Neonatal
...
Working in maternity and neonatal is probably one of the best and most challenging of all the areas we have the privilege of working with. Some projects that we have been involved with include:
-
Teamworking and leadership in maternity departments
-
Fetal monitoring support
-
Developing the role of the delivery suite coordinator
-
Maternity and neonatal incident investigations, both internal and as an invited external
-
Developing network guidelines for collaborative working
Building design
...
The government has committed £3.7bn for building 40 new hospitals by 2030; quite the commitment in today's climate. How these hospitals are designed will affect the working lives of several hundred thousand healthcare staff for a whole working lifetime. National reports suggest up to 2 in 5 NHS staff have had time off due to work-related stress in the last year. The impact of the work that is done and where that work is done is critical to individuals' health and wellbeing.

Hospitals and clinical spaces need to be designed taking the clinical and patient needs into account. We can help translate those clinical and patient requirements into specifications, and work with architects and healthcare planners to ensure those needs are realised.
Operating theatres
...
Lauren's first project was in the operating theatre, and this kicked off a lifelong love of studying this unique area of work.
Work we have completed in operating theatres includes:
-
Identification and design of safety critical steps
-
Leadership and teamwork
-
Simulation support
-
Layout design
-
Checklist design and use
